\t\tGeneral Purpose and Scope of Position:\r
\t\r
\t\tAssist in all aspects of plant operations and warehouse operations duties. To include but not limited to; stocking and retrieving package and bulk containers, forklift, and general housekeeping. The role requires strong mechanical ability and aptitude. Must enjoy working with a diverse customer base in a fast-paced setting.\r

\t\t\tKnowledge and/or experience with agricultural operations (preferred)\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tWillingness to operate material handling equipment including forklift, order picker, pallet jack, and other equipment as required\r

\t\t\tAbility to repetitively bend and lift boxes and bags up to 80 lbs. while working in a non-climate-controlled\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tGood computer, math, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tWilling and desire to work overtime hours during busy seasons\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tHigh School Diploma or equivalent\r

\t\t\tValid Drivers License with a Class-A CDL is a plus\r

Key Deliverables Include:

\t\t\tBatch Plant Operation\r
\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tProperly interpret, and create seed batch sheets\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tCreate custom fertilizer blends in the batch plant\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tProperly label all custom blends\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tFill tanks and trucks as needed\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tCoordinate with dispatcher scheduling of all outgoing fertilizer deliveries\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tWork with the Operations Manager on awareness and management of any contaminated loads\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tNeatness and attention to detail on all paperwork, and seeing that it all returns to the office for processing\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tDaily Maintenance and Cleanliness of all plant equipment and plant\r
\t\t\t\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tTank Farm Operation\r
\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tManage all bulk fertilizer tanks (liquid levels, labeling, maintenance, etc.)\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tCoordinate with the Dispatch Department scheduling of incoming bulk fertilizer deliveries\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tContribute to tank farm cleanliness and upkeep\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tSupport waste-water management\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tWork within the team on the repair, maintenance, and safety issues on all tank farm equipment\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tSecure tank farm at the end of each day as scheduled\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tEnsure that all equipment and plumbing are properly maintained\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tHelp with random sampling for fertilizer analysis accuracy\r
\t\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\t\t\tFill containers with proper herbicide or pesticide as needed\r
\t\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tWear proper safety equipment per SDS sheets of chemicals being handled by an employee\r
\t\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\t\t\tChemicals utilized at this branch require the use of a respirator in case of emergency and must be able to pass pulmonary function tests.\r
\t\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tMake sure the tank is cleaned and ready to be filled, and ensure the integrity of containers being filled with proper testing per EPA rules\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tEnsure the proper weight of the tank and chemical\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tMake sure the tank is sealed correctly when finished\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tMake sure the tank is properly stickered for warnings, deposit, and tank testing\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tScan bar code for tracking of tank\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tLoad and unload bulk tankers\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tUtilize catch basins for spills\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tMonitor all tanks that are being pumped into or out of for leaks, spills, or damage\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tMake sure all containers are properly cleaned when done filling\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tMake sure all drums are put safely onto a pallet and wrapped with shrink wrap before being put into the warehouse for storage or onto the truck for delivery\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tEnsure the security of the Tank Farm and warehouse rooms, and all aspects of it which may include but are not limited to, locking out electrical switches and or pumps, making sure tank valves are in the closed position at the end of the day\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tMake sure all pumps and valves are labeled correctly, whether it be on or off, open or closed, or the correct chemical name\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tReport any issues with equipment to a manager right away\r
\t\t\t\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\r
\t\t\tOther Duties\r

\t\t\t\t\tAssist with shop repair work and equipment maintenance when needed\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tCollect stormwater samples for testing\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tAssist with deliveries of chemicals & fertilizers as needed\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tAssist with pulling orders and packaging of products for shipment\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tMaintain accurate inventory records, ensuring no product left, or enters the warehouse without the necessary paperwork\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tAttend product training sessions and meetings when necessary\r
\t\t\t\t\r
\t\t\t\t\tAll other duties as assigned\r

\t\t\tIn compliance with all states and cities that require transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $ $24.92 per hour. Note that wages may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits. \r
