What are we looking for?

We are looking for an exceptional Applied Research Engineer to join our founding team and contribute to improving our in-house large language models (LLMs). In this role, you will apply cutting-edge techniques to fine-tune LLMs and implement novel ways to improve their performance on our target applications.

This is a unique opportunity to work at the forefront of LLMs while surrounded by exceptional researchers and builders at AI2. Ideal Candidate

Several years of full-time experience in applied ML roles, preferably in a fast-paced environment like early-stage startups.

Non-negotiable

Deep passion for technology. Self-driven individual with a sense of urgency
Detail oriented and a strong desire to build high-quality customer-focused products

Requirements

Strong basics and understanding of Machine Learning/Deep Learning
Experience in building diverse and high-quality datasets and training deep learning models
Strong programming skills in Python
Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch
Exposure to or active participation in the latest research and advancements in NLP

Preferences

Experience in code generation with LLMs

Prior experience in fine-tuning large language models desirable

Experience setting up infrastructure for training large deep-learning models

Not Necessary

Experience in chip design great but NOT necessary
