Maintenance Worker

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and the Major Range and Test Facilities Base positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

• Operate an industrial-type, rubber-tired and/or field type tractor with attachments to mow grass and perform typical farm-field type operations.
• Perform mill work, construct framing, and make items such as benches, partitions, frames, and tables.
• Brush out, roll on, and spray coating materials and apply other methods and techniques, such as cutting-in techniques and dip and overflow methods.
• Measure, cut, bend, and thread pipe and tile, and caulk and seal such things as elbows, union joints, tile pipe, faucets, and shower drains.
• Remove, clean, reinstall, or replace joints and fixtures, such as traps, faucets, and unions.
• Install and operate fixtures, such as light switches, circuit breakers, fuses, and outlets.
