Position Summary:
As an educational specialist, you will be involved in activities related to the educational process within the academic environment and the provision of educational services in non-academic settings in specialized areas such as learning disabilities, speech pathology, audiology, and language assessment. Responsibilities may include:
  • Carrying out program objectives
  • Completing tasks within specified criteria
  • Developing programs and assessments
  • Creating and promoting training curricula and materials
This is a pooled posting and positions will be filled on an as-needed basis.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a specified field of study and, in the case of support services, certification such as NYS certification as a speech therapist. Some roles may necessitate provisional NYS teaching certification.
  • Work experience at this level is typically restricted.
  • Essential skills include researching subject matter, compiling and analyzing gathered data, and collaborating with others engaged in service delivery.
