Job Summary and Qualifications

The Speech Language Pathologist is responsible for the evaluation, assessment, and treatment of patients within the Speech Therapy treatment program based on physician referrals or prescriptions. What you will do in this role:

  • You will be providing goal-directed treatment program planning/implementation, related documentation, and communication for pediatric, adolescent, adult and/or geriatric patient populations
  • You will be providing complete diagnostic, assessment, and therapeutic procedures for patients who have suspected or demonstrated speech, language, cognitive, communication deficits, swallowing impairments, and/or dysphasia
What qualifications you will need:
  • MA or MS in Speech Pathology
  • Nevada State Board licensure to practice Speech Therapy
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from American Language Speech and Hearing Association
  • One to two years in hospital or rehab setting preferred
  • CFY will be considered
  • Training or practicum in areas of aphasia, apraxia, dysarthria, cognitive deficits, dysphasia, neurological disorders, cleft palate and voice disorders is required
  • BLS certification
