Overview of the Role:

Join our team at River Falls Ambulance, where you will respond to emergency scenarios and offer pre-hospital 911 services under paramedic supervision. Your responsibilities will also include ensuring safe and comfortable patient transport, vehicle maintenance, and compliance with driving regulations and company standards.

  • Shift Bids every 6 Months based on Seniority

Role Description:

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver life support patient care within certified scope
    • Respond promptly to 911 calls.
    • Provide pre-hospital patient care as directed by the paramedic.
    • Handle and store Class A narcotics under paramedic guidance.
    • Transport patients between locations.
    • Document and share reports with receiving facilities.
    • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure upkeep of vehicles
    • Perform cleaning and restocking tasks.
    • Drive vehicles in line with regulations and company protocols.
    • Maintain equipment following manufacturer and company guidelines.
    • Report safety hazards promptly.
    • May be responsible for base maintenance activities like cleaning and disinfecting.
    • Carry out additional assigned duties.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum age of 18 with necessary education/experience to meet specified competencies in the job description; High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Valid Emergency Medical Tech - EMT - MN Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board license for MN or
  • Valid Emergency Medical Tech - EMT - WI - Emergency Medical Services license for WI and
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource certification from American Heart Association or Allina and
  • Possession of a valid Driver's License at the time of hiring - MN and WI residents must acquire a valid driver's license in their respective state within 60 days of employment
