Pediatrician (Full-Time or Part-Time)
Reports To: Chief of Pediatrics

The Charles B. Wang Community Health Center, an award-winning federally qualified community health center is seeking Pediatricians to join our practice. We are looking for team-oriented individuals interested in delivering high quality primary care in a community health setting. Our collegial outpatient-only practice offers strong ancillary support, including nursing support, referral coordinators, health educators, on-site mental health services, and social workers.

We do not require hospital rounding. Call is limited to telephone only. We also provide opportunities for teaching, research, and community outreach.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for the total medical care of pediatric patientsParticipate in all activities necessary to implement the multi-disciplinary team approach for the care of pediatric patientsWork closely with the ancillary services (nursing, social work, health education, etc.) to ensure that the patient is getting comprehensive and coordinated medical careProvide medical care to patients in efficient and quality standards set by the Health CenterParticipate in quality assurance and quality improvement activities including peer chart reviewsParticipate in development, review and delivery of community health outreach and educationProvide trainings on health topics to students, interns, other health staff to ensure coordinated careMaintain skills through continuing medical education designated limits set by the Health CenterMaintain productivity level designated by unit chiefNewborn rounding; obtain and maintain hospital privileges in at least one hospital facilityPerform other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications:Graduated from an accredited medical school and licensed to practice in New York StateCertification or eligible for certification by the American Board of PediatricsKnowledge of a second language (such as Mandarin, Cantonese, Bengali, Korean, Spanish) preferred Compensation and Benefits:Full-Time Salary: $175, ,000.00 per year and productivity-based incentive payMedical insuranceEmployer-paid dental, vision, disability and life insuranceEmployer-paid malpractice coverage through FTCA403(b) retirement savings planFlexible spending accounts for transit, parking, health and dependent carePaid time off (6 weeks)Continuing medical education time and allowanceEmployee Assistance ProgramNational Health Services Corps loan repayment program available, andThe Health Center is qualified for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) program
