The Home Lending Quantitative Analyst Sr conducts business-driving reporting and analysis/insights, and identify opportunities for process improvements. This position will mine all available data sources for the identification of trends that suggest opportunities for productivity improvements, revenue enhancement, and customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Duties and Responsibilities: - Solve business problems by developing practical & efficient solutions through the application of quantitative methods - Collaborate with partners as a technical and data SME to gather reporting requirements and metrics to address specific needs - Compile and analyze large volumes of data from disparate sources to provide reporting and trending of KPIs to senior management in PowerPoint, Excel, and Tableau
  • Design, deploy and develop data brokering processes to support reporting solutions and ad hoc requests
  • Create automated reports and dashboards for users to track operations, pipeline, and other KPIs
  • Analyze sales opportunities within consumer lending and partner with product teams to define targeted opportunities from 1st and 3rd party data
  • Champion analytics best practices including creating robust documentation of ETL processes, optimizing queries and dashboards for efficiency, and designing solutions for multipurpose self-service
  • Work in a collaborative environment including developing and supporting upskilling of team members, fostering intradepartmental data and technical literacy, and prioritizing work with cross-impacted interdepartmental colleagues
  • Leverage strong prioritization and self-management skills to achieve results when responsible for multiple high-stakes deliverables in parallel
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field and 4+ years of experience in reporting and analytics or data science, or quantitative Master's degree and 2+ years of experience in reporting and analytics or data science
  • Proficient with Business Intelligence tool(s) including developing and automating reports (eg, Tableau, Microsoft BI or others)
  • Direct experience and proven proficiency with SQL programming and large database querying across disparate sources
  • Demonstrated ability to work under deadlines in a challenging environment with multiple priorities while maintaining quality of output - Proven leadership skills including exhibiting Huntington's core values
  • Strong team- and relationship-building skills with individuals in technical, financial, and operations roles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Graduate degree in a quantitative field such as computer science, statistics, analytics, economics, or related
  • Advanced skills in Tableau Desktop and Tableau Prep with working knowledge of server publishing and automation
  • Advanced skills Scripting queries in SAS; Scripting queries across Snowflake, IBM DB2 and Microsoft SQL Server
  • Experience with advanced analytics techniques such as A/B testing, statistical modelling, or data science
  • Experience with mining lead and opportunity data to maximize sales pull-through including estimating propensity to book, opportunity sizing, and lead prioritization
  • Shown ability to own a request throughout the analytics project lifecycle
  • Design-thinking mindset for developing insights and knowledge of current best practices
  • Proven experience in developing self-service solutions for non-technical audiences
  • 5+ years' experience in consumer lending vertical at a financial institution
