Upper School Administrative Assistant at our Randolph campus.

About the Upper School:

The Upper School caters to Grades 9-12 students characterized by advanced inquiry, lively discussions, deep engagement with topics, a strong sense of community, and a commitment to excellence. Students build relationships and habits that will guide them through high school and beyond. The Upper School's seminar-based learning approach is supported by a dedicated team of teachers, advisors, and resources for academic and social/emotional well-being.

Position Details:

  • Status: Full-time, 12 Months, Non-Exempt
  • Department: Upper School Administrative Support

Responsibilities:

The Upper School Administrative Assistant (USAA) plays a vital role in supporting the division's operations, handling administrative tasks, managing daily attendance, coordinating substitutes, and preparing essential documents. Additionally, the USAA assists in organizing key events like Back-to-School Night, parent-teacher conferences, and Commencement.

We are looking for an adaptable individual who can thrive in a dynamic environment, interact positively with the SPA community and visitors, and collaborate effectively with colleagues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must, along with the ability to navigate sensitive situations with grace. Candidates should have a genuine interest in working with young people from diverse backgrounds. First aid certification is a plus, and familiarity with Veracross, rSchoolToday, and Frontline Education is advantageous.

Requirements:

  • 3-5 years of administrative support experience, preferably in an educational setting
  • Strong project and time management abilities
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace for Education
  • Alignment with SPA's mission and the Upper School's vision
