Registry Clinical Dietitian

Assess, interpret, monitor and document the nutritional status and nutritional needs of patients using evidenced-based standards of care, policies and practice guidelines. Perform a nutrition-focused physical exam on patients. Identify and provide age-specific nutrition care to meet the cultural needs of the patients and their families. Provide nutrition education and medical nutrition therapy within an inter-disciplinary plan of care to achieve the patient's medical goals.
Educate patients, care givers, students and other health care colleagues on the effect of therapeutic diets and nutritional support to maintain/improve nutritional status.
When assigned, provide support and supervision to the daily infant formula preparation routine, which includes identifying and calculating recipes to individualize the formula to meet the nutritional needs of the infant.
Keep current on nutrition research and incorporate into daily practice.
Participate in department activities to enhance patient satisfaction.
Other duties as assigned.
