Summary

The positions are located in the ADS Branch and SD Branch, Service Operations Division, Office of Consular Systems and Technology, Bureau of Consular Affairs (CA/CST/SO/ADS), in the U.S. Department of State.



Duties
  • Plans, oversees, evaluates, and advises on database management, testing, maintenance, and the selection and use of tools and methods to achieve data quality and database performance.
  • Develops long-range strategic plans that address the integration of state-of-the-art database technologies for consular operations within the approved Department and Bureau Enterprise Architecture.
  • Responsible for the planning, development, implementation, and administration of security systems for data management platforms.
  • Develops policies and methods to facilitate the security and integrity of consular data, including the implementation and integration of multiple security products to ensure the proper auditing of data access and use.
  • Serves as a Government Task Monitor (GTM) for contractual resources assigned to supporting database management and monitors the contractor's technical progress and reports of any performance or schedule failure.
