PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a Systems Engineer 4 in Berkeley, MO.

Applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex lifecycle balanced system of systems and system solutionsEvaluates customer/operational needs to define and coordinate system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfacesPerforms various analyses to optimize total system of systems and/or system architecture.Performs analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance and other specialties quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission successDevelops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risk, issues, opportunity management and technology readiness assessment processes.Resolves cross-functional technical issues

Job Responsibilities:

Critical thinking, problem solving, change management, project management, influencing without authority, & consultationAbility to communicate concisely in writing, verbally, one-on-one, in small groups, and to large audiencesExperience managing, developing, motivating and communicating responsibilities to team membersAbility to maintain situational awareness of the overall program and critical path sequencingAbility to proactively communicate with various leadership team/s, peers and customers

Basic Hiring Criteria:

Systems engineering experienceBachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Desired Qualifications:

An active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship Required). (A U.S. SecurityClearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)Experience in FAA certification or airworthinessExperience leading multi-disciplinary teams to meet aggressive schedulesExperience leading or managing projects and/or teamsExperience leading a large project or program which required the use of project management tools & processesTechnical Experience in Flight & Ground Loads, Noise & Vibration, Flutter, Strength,Fatigue, Propulsion, Aerodynamics/Performance, Flying Qualities, Stability & Control, and/or Structural DynamicsExperience in Financial analysis, Integrated scheduling, Business development,Program management, and/or Supplier managementMilitary certification experience especially software
