The Role

As the Associate Director of Technical Development, you will play a pivotal role in the CMC Knowledge Management team by innovating our approaches to CMC documentation. Heres What Youll Do

Leadership & Innovation: Lead by example, inspiring excellence in technical writing within Modernas CMC organization. Champion innovative practices and technologies, including the application of AI, to streamline and automate CMC documentation processes.Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute ambitious plans to transform our CMC documentation workflows. This includes creating advanced tools and templates, improving knowledge flow from raw data generation to regulatory submissions, and significantly accelerating our regulatory filing processes.Collaboration & Influence: Work closely with cross-functional teams of top scientists and engineers in a matrix environment to drive the adoption of best practices and innovative solutions. Your leadership will ensure seamless collaboration and the successful implementation of our strategic documentation roadmap.Mentorship & Development: Be a mentor and coach to your teams, fostering an environment of learning and growth. Your passion for technical writing will be instrumental in elevating the team's skills and enthusiasm for producing top-notch CMC documentation Additional duties as may be assigned from time to time Heres What Youll Need (Minimum Qualifications) 10+ years of experience in process development, manufacturing, analytical sciences, technology transfer or regulatory CMC BS degree or higher in engineering or biological science Heres What Youll Bring to the Table (Preferred Qualifications) A visionary with a solid understanding of CMC documentation, particularly in the biopharmaceutical sector. Extensive experience with CMC documentation, from the generation of raw data through to regulatory submissions. Proven leadership and facilitation skills, with the ability to inspire and guide cross-functional teams towards achieving common goals. Highly collaborative and customer focused. Strong project management capabilities, adept at creating and executing complex plans with precision. Passionate about innovation, especially in applying AI and other technologies to enhance documentation processes. Excellent communication skills, capable of articulating complex concepts clearly and persuasively to a variety of audiences.
