Hospitalist - Nocturnist with Centers for Family Medicine to join our team in
Orange County.

Position Highlights:
Block Schedule: 7 on / 7 off
- Schedule: One week Day shifts (7 AM – 7 PM) and one week Night shifts (7 PM – 7 AM) per month
- Day shifts: Conduct hospital rounds on all patients referred to the service
- Night shifts: Admitting; Physician to stay at hospital over night
- Provide patient care in a manner consistent with hospital medical staff by-laws and referring physician requests
- Communicates with families, referring physicians, specialists, administration and hospital departments in the care and treatment of patients referred to the service
- Work with hospitals and clinical staff, social services, utilization management and other members of the interdisciplinary teams
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to discuss patients progress, variances and achievement of expected outcomes and plan of care
- Assumes responsibility to ensure that all necessary documentation is accurate, complete, and timely including medical records, billing/coding and any other such documentation as requested by hospital from time to time

Required Qualifications:
- Unrestricted California State Medical License
- Current California DEA certificate
- BE/BC Internal Medicine
- Welcome 2024 IM Grads
- EMR proficient
- Self-starter with ability to practice with a high degree of independence
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Managed Care and Medi-Cal experience desirable
California Residents Only:
The salary range for California residents is $280,884 to $352,981, though this is subject to change with collective bargaining.
Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
