Position Description:

Abington Friends Lower School seeks a full-time, Lead Teacher for First Grade for the school year. The Lead Teacher is responsible for developing and implementing curriculum, working with students and families, and collaborating with colleagues to create an inviting, stimulating, and safe learning environment. The First Grade Lead Teacher will be an educator who is creative and flexible and recognizes the unique gifts and talents inherent in each child. The Abington Friends Lower School is a learning environment of joy, wonder, challenge and reflection with a strong sense of community.

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Lower School teaching experience
  • An understanding of child development
  • Ability to differentiate learning
