Position Requirements:
Minimum Education: Required: High School Diploma plus training acquired through work experience or education Preferred: Administrative or technical background acquired through completion of 2 - 3 years of college
Minimum Experience: Required: 3-5 years of previous job-related experience
Preferred: 6-10 years of previous job-related experience
Managerial Experience: 3-5 years
Position Responsibilities: This position functions in a working supervisory capacity, being proficient in patient registration and admission. Demonstrates strong organizational and supervisory skills in a continuing commitment to departmental excellence. Demonstrates a commitment to the departmental management team. Receives staff sick calls and job related calls. Takes initiative to insure staff has the necessary supplies to perform job tasks efficiently.
The Hospital Access Supervisor is responsible for the day- to- day activities of the Hospital Access areas including Inpatient Admitting, Hospital-based Outpatient services, Same Day surgery Center, Preadmission Interview, Bed Control and the Emergency Medical Services.
This individual monitors employees on the DAY/PM or Night shift to ensure an accurate and efficient patient access throughput while helping preserve the confidentiality of the patient record. They maintain effective relations and communications with all departmental employees, internal and external customers as they relate to Hospital Access, keeping the Director and other supervisors informed of patient and employee situations and opportunities for improvement not only within the Department but within LUHS.

Position Requirements:
