Duties

Temporary positions not-to-exceed 1039 regular hours in a service year may be terminated sooner or extended depending on management needs.

As a seasonal park ranger, your duties will include:

  • Providing park visitor assistance services.
  • Patrolling public land and water areas to prevent and report unauthorized activities, and to ensure the protection of park visitors and resources.
  • Assisting in developing interpretive program materials.
  • Assisting with the execution of recreation management program objectives at a lake project by issuing permits and monitoring permitted activities.
  • Assisting in emergencies and cooperating with other law enforcement agencies to protect park visitors and resources.
  • Participating in a user fee program either as a fee collector, designated collection officer's representative, or compliance inspector.
  • Performing other related duties as assigned.
