Sr. SDET

Job Description

A Cloud-based Identity and Access Governance application company is seeking a Sr. SDET to join their team. They will be responsible for validating a highly scalable and extensible SaaS enabled Platform, working with internal customers on adoption, as well as identifying and resolving problems throughout the project life cycle. They should have a proven track record of working closely with cross-functional teams like Product Management & other teams by understanding the priorities. Their main responsibilities will include:

Review test strategies, plans, test cases and coverage and provide input to risks based on product requirements.

Develop automated tests, test harnesses, and applications and services under test.

Interact with Quality Assurance team and our partners to understand systems and component specifications and recommend changes to facilitate efficient and effective testing.

Leverage prior experience to enhance our CI/CD pipelines.

Collaborate directly with software developers, product managers, and business analysts to ensure proper development and quality of Saviynt applications and products.

Drive testability and diagnostic ability into products.

Participate in efforts to share automation testing technology and expertise within the company.

Perform tasks to meet project deadlines and work together with team to ensure project success.

Help define and participate in software development processes that leverages best practice and supports continuous product delivery.

Participate in regular peer design and code reviews.

Conform to coding conventions and all aspects of the software development life cycle.

Participate in scrum ceremonies.

Skills and Requirements

Masters Degree and 4+ years of software engineering experience OR a Bachelors Degree and 6+ years of experience in Software Engineering / Quality Engineering or equivalent experience

Proficiency and working experience with the following programming languages: Java, JavaScript, TypeScript

Strong working experience with Test Automation (Selenium)

o Experience using Selenium for testing Java based applications

o Experience with Selenium web driver for cross browser testing

o Experience with Lambda tests

Experience testing enterprise level applications (software/application testing)

Working experience with Rest API testing and test automation frameworks and tools: Chai Mocha, Rest Assured, TestNG

Experience building frameworks from scratch OR building test cases on top of pre-existing frameworks

Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD implementations and the ability to develop scripts and parameters

o Experience developing & running tests on pipelines (Git or Jenkins)

Experience with UI/API and backend validations

Experience in testing applications on Cloud infrastructure, including Azure and Amazon Web Services

o Familiarity with microservices

Experience working in Agile environment and familiarity with high quality automation frameworks (Kanban/Scrum) Experience with Kubernetes & Docker

Experience with Security testing and static analysis tools (Vera code, Sonar)
