Department Overview
Children's Minnesota boasts the largest Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) in Minnesota. The 30-bed PICU at Children's Minnesota Minneapolis Campus houses a dedicated interdisciplinary team providing advanced care to children with critical, life-threatening diagnoses. Specializing in treating a wide array of acute and chronic illnesses, from respiratory failure to post-operative recovery, our PICU is equipped to handle various medical complexities and traumatic events. Utilizing advanced technologies such as ECMO and CRRT, our team ensures the complex care needs of our patient population are met. We prioritize a family-centered approach, fostering a collaborative environment that emphasizes continuous learning and professional growth to deliver exceptional care.
Position Summary
Responsible for coordinating and delivering family-centered nursing care to infants, children, and adolescents, utilizing the nursing process. The role involves independent nursing functions and delegated medical duties performed in conjunction with other healthcare team members.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- Active Minnesota RN licensure.
- Current BLS certification.
- Applicants must undergo an informational meeting with the Patient Care Manager prior to finalizing the position.
