FACULTY VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT

The Culinary Arts Program at Kingsborough Community College seeks Adjunct Lecturers with a history of significant industry experience. The Culinary Arts Program is recognized for its leadership in Culinary Arts study and workforce training in the New York Metropolitan region. Kingsborough Community College is located in Manhattan Beach, Brooklyn, adjacent to Sheepshead Bay with a diverse student population who attend day, evening and weekend classes.

Duties include:

  • Teach courses in the diverse segments of the Culinary Arts curriculum including, but not limited to culinary arts, pastry arts, food and beverage management, artisanal bread baking, food and beverage cost control, sanitation and dining room management.
  • Day, evening and weekend teaching may be required. Performs teaching and related faculty functions in area(s) of expertise. QUALIFICATIONS

    Bachelor's degree in area(s) of expertise, and the ability to teach successfully. Also required is the ability to cooperate with others for the good of the institution. Applicants should have a minimum of five (5) years of post-degree employment in Culinary Arts.

    Higher education teaching experience is strongly preferred.

    Current Serve-Safe Food Safety Certificate is required.

    COMPENSATION

    $ $98.40 per hour. Salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
