Our unique synthetic biology approach allows us to modulate cellular pathways with the precision of antibodies and accessibility of small molecules.Apertor Pharmaceuticals is seeking a natural products/medicinal chemist to assist in the design and production of molecular glues via semi-synthetic derivatization of natural product drug leads generated by bioengineering.The successful candidate is expected to possess multiple competencies including synthetic organic chemistry and natural products chemistry working on microgram to milligram scale isolations and semi-synthetic derivatization.The candidate will work closely with a diverse cross-disciplinary team of scientists, consisting of molecular biologists, immunologists, and computational chemists.In addition to compound generation, the candidate will also be involved in supporting downstream sample processing, including analytical chemistry, data organization and equipment maintenance.Ph. D. in synthetic organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, natural product chemistry, or related field with 4+ years of relevant industry or post-doctoral experience.Advanced understanding of synthetic biology and natural product biosynthesis.Familiarity with contemporary methods of molecular modeling and computational chemistry.
