This announcement will recruit Physicians for each specialty listed below. All positions will located at the Hershel "Woody" Williams campus of the Huntington VA Hospital. There may be occasions when the clinician would have to visit a CBOC for the purpose of meetings or trainings.

Duties
The
Hershel "Woody" Williams VAMC
is a fully accredited 80-bed acute medical and surgical care facility, offering primary care, outpatient mental health services, and subspecialty outpatient care. VA staffed community based outpatient clinics are located in Charleston, West Virginia, and Prestonsburg, Kentucky. In addition, outreach clinics are located in Gallipolis, Ohio and Lenore, West Virginia. This Medical Center is the principal teaching facility for the Marshall University School of Medicine for undergraduate and postgraduate medical education.Interventional Cardiology
This position is in the Cardiology Department within the Medical Service and practices at the independent clinical level of practice. The interventional cardiologist has specialized knowledge of practice related to diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions and diseases that involve the use of non-surgical, catheter-based procedure and specialized imaging techniques.
Cardiology is the discipline whose providers specialize in diagnostics, therapy, management, prophylaxis and research of diseases affecting the heart and circulatory system.
Non-Invasive Cardiology
This position is in the Cardiology Department within the Medical Service and practices at the independent clinical level of practice. The non-invasive cardiologist has specialized knowledge of practice related to assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of cardiac conditions. This physician will perform or assist in related procedures.
Cardiology is the discipline whose providers specialize in diagnostics, therapy, management, prophylaxis and research of diseases affecting the heart and circulatory system.
Gastroenterology
This position is in the Gastroenterology Department within the Medical Services and practices at the independent clinical level of practice. The physician has specialized knowledge of practice related to the study, diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the digestive system. This physician will perform or assist in related procedures.
Gastroenterology is the discipline whose providers study the normal function and diseases of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, and rectum, pancreas, gallbladder, bile ducts and liver.

Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Recruitment Incentive (Sign-on Bonus): Available for qualified applicants
Pay: Competitive salary, annual performance bonus, regular salary increases
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days of paid time off per year (26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year and possible 5 day paid absence for CME)
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VA
Insurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)
Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory
CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification)
Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided
Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restriction on moonlighting
