Summary

This position serves as a Dietician for the Nutrition Department of the Clinton Indian Health Center located in Clinton, OK. This position develops and implements Health Promotion/Disease Prevention programs with a special emphasis on chronic disease, prevention, and nutritional intervention. The incumbent reports to the Ancillary Services Director of the Clinton Service Unit.

Duties
  • Make professional decisions or recommendations concerning nutritional care and dietary changes.
  • Provide consultation, in-service training, and nutrition/diet counceling to the staff and patients.
  • Provide nutritional expertise in the implementation of outpatient programs geared towards prevention of chronic health conditions.
  • Assist with development of policies and procedures related to nutritional prevention and intervention.
  • Monitor and evaluate activities of nutrition and dietetics program for performance improvement.
