You will play a pivotal role in shaping young minds and inspiring a lifelong passion for learning. You will be responsible for creating a supportive and engaging classroom environment where students feel valued and encouraged to explore their potential. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the school's curriculum and educational standards.
  • Utilizing various teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Integrating technology into the classroom to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
  • Establishing clear expectations for behavior and academic performance and maintaining a positive and respectful classroom atmosphere.
  • Implementing effective strategies that promote self-discipline and responsibility among students.
  • Creating a safe and inclusive learning environment where all students feel welcome and supported.
  • Conducting ongoing assessments to evaluate student progress and identify areas for growth.
  • Collaborating with parents/guardians to support student learning and address any concerns or challenges.
  • Participating in parent-teacher conferences, school events, and community outreach initiatives to foster a strong partnership between home and school. Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
    • Valid Rhode Island teaching license/certification.
    • Prior experience working with elementary students preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of child development principles and best practices in elementary education.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
    • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
    • Passion for teaching and a dedication to supporting the holistic development of every student.
