We are seeking for highly energetic, Adjunct Clinical Instructors for an Accelerated Bachelor of Science of Nursing program in Detroit. As an Adjunct Clinical Instructor, the primary responsibility is the clinical education of the students in the Madonna University ABSN program. Clinical Instructors are assigned teaching responsibilities in a clinical area in the Detroit area and are expected to contribute to the education of the students including skills, standards of practice, and critical thinking. Academic Partner: Madonna University Accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Term Starts: January, May and September

Schedule: clinical rotations are 7 weeks

Clinical partner: Ascension Health, Beaumont Health

Clinical Areas: Pediatrics

What You Will Do:

Facilitate effective student learning in the assigned clinical settingProvide adequate guidance for students in the clinical setting related to professionalism, practice, and researchSelects and organizes learning activities which facilitate the student's attainment of the course objectivesEnsure effective evaluations of student practicePromote evidence-based practiceProvide a supportive learning environment by providing feedback on student progress to supervisory personnelCollaborate with other faculty, administration as and with the healthcare partner and its staffAttend all required orientation, training and faculty meetingsWhat You Will Need: Clinical Competence: Able to function with professional accountability in clinical settingsTeaching Competence: Able to create a climate conducive to positive student learningTechnology Competence: Able to use computer technology (Word, Power Point, E-mail, and Internet) at a minimumPractice: minimum of two years of successful clinical nursing practiceTeaching experience: none required; prefer a minimum two years of teaching experience Education and CertificationsMaster's degree in nursing requiredCurrent unencumbered RN license in Michigan or other compact stateAble to work 12 hour shifts in a clinical setting if requiredWhat we'll offer in return:A career where your work genuinely makes a differenceA stable income with a good salaryExtensive training with team and management supportStructured professional development plans and opportunitiesOutstanding benefits and work perksCollaborative and supportive team more
