Specialist School Nurse- SEND

Working within Essex Child and Family Wellbeing Services offers a unique environment, with clear visibility of senior management who are easily approachable due to their hands-on approach, which includes our Managing Director.

You will feel listened to and be given the platforms to have your voice and ideas We do have a flexible approach to the hours for this role.

It is Term Time only for 30 hours per week, but we can consider these hours to be worked over 4 days per week.

The Ideal Candidate You will hold a RSCN/RN (Child) qualification or a RGN/SCPHN qualification and have experience working with children and young people with acute, chronic & complex health needs either in a hospital or community environment.

You will have with strong communication skills with the ability to display compassion and empathy to the children and their families, whilst being able to build effective relationships in order to deliver the highest level of care.

Minimum of two years post registration experience as a nurse at band 5 Experience of working with children with additional needs Good working knowledge of Child Protection policy & procedures Able to communicate effectively Clear, concise written & oral communication Able to work autonomously & prioritise own work effectively As this is a community role, a valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes is essential.
