Job Overview

The Graphic Designer supports key communication efforts across the entire portfolio of Wind Creek Hospitality properties, amenities, products, and promotional campaigns. As a vital member of the Creative Services and Content Creation team, the Graphic Designer develops highly effective visual design for both digital and print channels to communicate the desired message, support the brand aesthetic, and function successfully for various technical and performance-based specifications.

Duties And ResponsibilitiesCreates compelling concepts, comps, layouts and final art for a wide variety of marketing materials
Conceptualizes and implements visual design solutions for digital and print channels including websites, emails, social media, apps, kiosks, digital and interactive displays, collateral, direct mail, print media, OOH, and more
Reads and accurately analyzes design briefs
Meets directly with project managers, clients, and technical teams as needed to obtain information and resources to complete projects
Works within evolving brand guidelines to develop creative that helps push the brand forward
Participates in brainstorming sessions as an experienced and skilled contributor
Stays abreast of current trends and software; Makes suggestions for new techniques to be employed in the execution of projects
Works both independently and collaboratively, handling projects from concept to completion with minimal assistance
Understands and utilizes proper techniques for preparing print-ready files and helps guide vendors in the accurate production of digital media
Works in a team-oriented environment; Mentors and shares knowledge, best practices, ideas and inspiration with others
Works on special projects as needed
Ensures that assigned projects are completed on time

Job Requirements (Please Ensure You Meet The Listed Requirements Prior To Applying)High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Communications, Advertising, Marketing, or a related field - required

Three (3) years professional graphic design experience employed full time by an ad agency or in-house design department - required

Experience supporting multiple internal or external clients in a high-traffic design environment - preferred

Competency with Adobe Creative Suite - Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Acrobat, plus Microsoft Office. Advanced knowledge of various web design software and social media platforms, as well as coding, motion & 3D design - preferred

Experience producing corporate marketing materials, branding and identity, typography, layout, composition, color theory and information design - preferred

Full understanding of UX and UI design, as well as best practices - preferred

Technical knowledge and understanding of mobile/browser/platform constraints and how they affect design - preferred

Proven ability to synthesize direction from many individuals

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Self-starter with strong work ethic and ability to manage own time, take initiative and handle stress
Team player with the ability to thrive in a fluid and deadline-driven environment
High level of creativity and ability to visually communicate as evidenced by a rich portfolio of work examples
Willing to work odd and irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position
