The Medical College of Wisconsin is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in the sub-specialty area of Foot and Ankle. This position offers an exciting opportunity to join our esteemed institution as a faculty physician. As a member of our renowned Orthopaedic Surgery Department, you will contribute to our mission of providing exceptional patient care, education, and research.

The Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at MCW includes 34 clinical faculty members, 4 active research faculty members, 24 advanced practice providers, 25 residents and 4 fellows. Affiliated clinical sites include Froedtert Hospital, Children s Hospital of Wisconsin (CHW), Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center (VAMC), Community Memorial Hospital, and several ambulatory surgery centers in SE Wisconsin. The faculty and APP s provide more than 79,000 outpatient visits and 7,300 surgeries annually.

Opportunity:

Provide comprehensive orthopaedic care to patients with foot and ankle conditions, including both surgical and non-surgical treatments.Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs, in accordance with the best practices and evidence-based medicine.Perform surgical procedures related to foot and ankle conditions, including arthroscopy, joint replacements, fusions, and corrective osteotomies.Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physical therapists and podiatrists, to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows, providing instruction and mentorship in the field of foot and ankle orthopaedic surgery.Serve as a role model and mentor for junior faculty, residents, and medical students, fostering a supportive and collaborative learning environment.Qualifications:Medical degree (MD or DO) and completion of an accredited residency program in Orthopaedic Surgery.Board certification or eligibility in Orthopaedic Surgery.Sub-specialty fellowship training in Foot and Ankle Surgery.Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Wisconsin.
