Main Purpose of Job

The main purpose of this full-time position will be to work with the staff of the Adult Evaluation and Review Services division (AERS) and coordinate cases, as needed to maintain the flow of referrals within the department.�This position will evaluate/interview all program eligible patients by utilizing the InterRAI subset to perform Nurse Monitoring/Quality Assurance of the health and safety of the patient, as deemed by the CFC/COW Regulations. This position will also utilize the Nurse Monitoring Assessment Tool to document adherence to the Residential Service Agencies regulations.�This position will submit billing for said duties within a timely manner. This position will also perform nursing evaluations of disabled and/or elderly persons to determine which community resources are appropriate and available to meet the individual's needs. Specific nursing medical recommendations are developed in the individualized plan of care. In addition, this position will promote individual and community health through education, health promotion, disease prevention, detection treatment and care in cooperation with other professionals and community agencies while maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA rules and regulations.\r

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:�� A Bachelor's degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.\r

1. Candidates may substitute a Bachelor's degree in a related field from an accredited college or university and one year of experience as a Registered Nurse for the required education.\r
2. Candidates may substitute two years of experience as a Registered Nurse for the required education. \r
3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in Nursing classification or Nursing or Health Care Specialist specialty codes in the Nursing field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required education.��\r

DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

The desired candidate should possess previous experience completing in-home visits and CPR certification.\r

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

1. Candidates for positions in this classification must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Maryland State Board of Nursing, 4140 Patterson Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland \r
2. Employees in this classification may be assigned duties which require the operation of a motor vehicle. Employees assigned such duties will be required to possess a motor vehicle operator's license valid in the State of Maryland. \r
