Business Information Analyst Senior

Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office).

Candidates must live within 50 miles of the Walnut Creek or Woodland Hills Pulse Point locations.

The Business Info Analyst Senior is responsible for analyzing, reporting and developing recommendations on data related to complex and varied business metrics.

How you will make an impact:


• Creates and maintains databases to track business performance.


• Analyzes data and summarizes performance using summary statistical procedures.


• Develops and analyzes business performance reports (e.g. for claims data, provider data, utilization data) and provides notations of performance deviations and anomalies.


• Creates and publishes periodic reports, as well as any necessary ad hoc reports.


• May require taking business issue and devising best way to develop appropriate diagnostic and/or tracking data that will translate business requirements into usable decision support tools.


• May make recommendations based upon data analysis.

Minimum Requirements:

Requires a BS/BA degree in related field and a minimum of 3 years data analysis or related experience; or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences:


• Experience with relational databases and knowledge of query tools and statistical software is strongly preferred.


• Ability to manipulate large sets of data is strongly preferred.


• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills are strongly preferred.


• Proficiency in Excel is essential. Experience with other data management and reporting software would be advantageous.


• Good working knowledge of SQL for querying databases. Experience with other database systems could also be beneficial.


• Familiarity and experience with modern analytic tools and platforms for data manipulation and visualization.


• Experience with data visualization platforms and tools.


• Familiarity with healthcare systems and terminology is strongly preferred.


• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.


• Strong communication and team collaboration skills.


• Problem-solving aptitude and critical thinking skills.


• This job requires that the analyst should be technologically adept and have an in-depth understanding of the healthcare system and its related terminology.

For candidates working in person or remotely in the below locations, the salary* range for this specific position is $74,560.00 to $134,208.00.
