In this position you will help provide operational support and services with regard to quality control, calibration and maintenance of instrumentation. You will help protect and enhance the World's level of food and animal safety.

The primary responsibly of the QC Instrument Technician is routine testing of Food Safety instrumentation to ensure compliance with specified performance standards. You'll receive all the training you need to successfully take on your new role and grow an exciting laboratory sciences career at Pace.

NOTE: This position is expected to last 3+ months

Essential Duties

  • Perform sterilization of instrumentation
  • Use SAP and Salesforce to check in and update location of instrumentation
  • Perform calibration, software upgrades and maintenance of instrumentation
  • Ensure instrument cases are properly updated and closed in a timely manner
  • Ensure quality product is returned to the customer
  • Adhere to GLP/ISO guidelines in daily activities
  • Conduct Analysis of products using traditional microbiological techniques such as dilution, pour plating, and filtration
  • Perform a wide range of general molecular/microbiology related test methods such as sterility testing, plate counting, and pathogen identification
  • Prepare sterile lab media used to conduct testing
  • Participate in general laboratory cleaning and maintenance in support of a safe workspace

What you'll bring

  • Preferred a BS degree in Biology, Microbiology, or related science
  • Some experience with microbiology lab techniques such as pipetting, preparing media, pouring agar, streak plating, etc.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good work ethic
  • Strong written/verbal communication skills
  • Bonus: experience in quality control or instrumentation, SAP or Salesforce
  • Effective problem solving skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
