A leading pharmaceutical company is seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to spearhead the successful commercialization of Research and Development efforts. As a pivotal member of the team, you will drive the expansion of the commercial portfolio, generate revenues, and ensure sustainable year-over-year growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth technical research and analysis on specific therapeutic markets to develop comprehensive business plans for commercial opportunities aligned with company goals.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, regulatory frameworks, and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Evaluate the competitive landscape and advise on the feasibility of technology solutions.
  • Lead technical due diligence evaluations for new opportunities, collaborating closely with sales and business development teams.
  • Foster cross-departmental collaboration to ensure alignment and support for commercialization efforts.
  • Contribute to annual and long-range business planning, developing technical and intellectual property strategies for sustainable revenue streams.
  • Administer procedures for discovering new technologies based on market feedback and unmet needs.
  • Drive technical transfer from lab to process-scale, ensuring seamless implementation.
  • Lead the formulation and implementation of intellectual property strategies for competitive advantage.
  • Forecast operating and capital expenses, managing budgets effectively.

    Job Specifications:
    • Advanced degree (PhD or Master's) in a scientific or engineering discipline preferred.
    • Experience with FDA-regulated businesses and compliance with FDA 21 CFR 211 regulations.
    • Knowledge of DEA regulations concerning controlled substances.
    • 5+ years of technical selling experience in pharmaceutical and/or drug delivery business.
    • Proficiency in market research methods and analysis.
    • Strong leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time, including some international travel.
