AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer

The AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer will be responsible for designing, building, and supporting

advanced cloud automation workflows and tools used to support automated CI/CD pipeline

application deployments into AWS. Responsible for designing and implementing Enterprise[1]wide layered cloud image management and deployment optimization system with support for

public/private software repositories. Designs, develops, and supports automation modules

integrated with Enterprise Metadata.


• This is a Telework position.



• High Risk Public Trust or Secret Clearance preferred.


• Ability to obtain High Risk Public Trust 6C is required

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES


• Adhere to the process and security standards when building application infrastructure in AWS


• Serve as enforcer for DevOps practices to prevent "technical drift"


• Maintain key service level agreements (SLAs)


• Onboarding of New Applications into Standardized Release Pipeline


• Provide guidance and direction to in regard to DevOps Processes and Technical/Pipeline

Standards


• Participate in Team-Wide Change Management process as both implementer and verifier,

ensuring changes are completed efficiently & correctly


• Keeper and enforcer of the technical & tools standards


• Participate in Security Reviews for Application Security Groups

REQUIRED


• Experience with Terraform or Cloud Formation YAML scripting


• Experience with AWS native CodeX tools


• Puppet Development experience


• Experience with DevOps orchestration tools such as Jenkins


• Experience with Public Cloud Migrations/Transformations


• Experience with AWS Cloud Services


• Experience with Managed Container Services (ECS, EKS, and Fargate) is a plus


• Experience with Thick AMIs (Amazon Machine Images)


• Familiarity with Packer


• Understanding of Application Code & Script Building


• Experience with Bash, Java, Python, & .Net Scripting


• Strong understanding of infrastructure components and how they are architected in AWS


• Must be able to multi-task and work well with changing priorities in a fast paced, 24x7

environment


• Must be highly collaborative & be able to work in a team environment, with Technical and

Business professionals


• Excellent communication, problem solving and customer service skills with the ability to

translate technical detail into non-technical information


• A strong ability to learn new technologies


• Strong ability to coordinate activities in an interrelated and highly visible manner
