Summary

You will serve as a CHEMIST in the PUGET SOUND NAVAL SHIPYARD AND INTERMEDIATE MAINTENANCE FACILITY, CODE 134 of PSNS and IMF.



Duties
  • You will perform complex chemical and physical analysis on a diverse range of materials including environmental samples, industrial chemicals, gases, metals, plastics, rubbers, paints, lubricants, hazardous wastes, wastewater, unknown materials etc.
  • You will perform calibration of complex analytical instruments following approved procedures using appropriate standards while ensuring calibration traceability.
  • You will plan, design, coordinate, and oversees execution of method validation studies to evaluate method suitability.
  • You will prepare detailed reports of validation parameters of laboratory management approval.
  • You will prepare and utilize control charts to evaluate acceptability of quality control techniques.
