Overview

Job Summary

Provides age-appropriate clinical psychological services to specialty patient populations, participates in didactic experiences and participates in meetings. Assesses, treats, plans and provides psycho-education, individual, group, and family therapy and intervention to patients in outpatient and inpatient settings. All work is under the supervision of a licensed psychologist.

Essential Functions

  • Clinical services include, but are not limited to, psychological and behavioral assessments, consultation, therapeutic interventions, and participation on clinical teams.
  • Assesses patients' problems, needs, and level of functioning.
  • Manages patients in crisis utilizing appropriate skills and assessment.
  • Provides accurate and consistent documentation of patient care in medical record.
  • Completes all documentation within facility-established timeframes.
  • Engages in clinical supervision and other training experiences as required.
  • Participates in meetings within the assigned department and hospital as appropriate.
  • Participates in program development and research as appropriate.
  • Collaborates with other medical and psychosocial providers as needed to provide patient care.

Physical Requirements
Work requires sitting, walking, standing, lifting, and reaching.

Education, Experience and Certifications

Doctoral degree in clinical, clinical child, counseling or health psychology from an APA approved training program required. Completion of an APA accredited internship prior to start date.
