Duties
  • You will plan use of personnel, equipment, facilities, and materials on a week-to-week, month-to-month or project-by-project basis.
  • You will establish deadlines, priorities, and work sequences, and plan work assignments based on general work schedules, methods, and policies set by higher level supervisor.
  • You will direct , operate and maintain a variety of filtration and circulation systems, chemical systems and all associated equipment to maintain proper water chemistry standards.
  • You will provide technical direction for scheduled or unscheduled backwashing procedures of water treatment filtration systems due to pressure differentials or contamination.
  • You will determine corrective actions to be take based on chemical test results and/or visual inspections of water clarity.

    • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
    • Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR
    • This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
    • This position is considered Key. You will be required to provide immediate and continuing support of the expeditionary requirements in other than combat or combat support situations.
    • You will be required to successfully complete a pre-appointment physical examination.
    • The incumbent is required, to train and/or guide lower graded employees in the performance of duties.
