The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as systems administrator with responsibility for planning and coordinating the installation, testing, modifying, upgrading, operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of hardware and software systems in support of agency Operational Test and Evaluation (OT&E) activities.



Duties
  • Performs services as systems administrator: Plans, coordinates, and installs applications software and hardware for operating systems.
  • Provides technical guidance and instruction to users. Prepares, coordinates, and implements policy and procedures for hardware and software applications system operation.
  • Serves as the Communications Security (COMSEC) Manager for all cryptographic activities including managing the Cryptographic Access Program (CAP).
  • Assists Unit Security Manager with related duties.
  • Maintains liaison with manufacturers, professional organizations, and counterparts at other installations, commands, and services regarding available products and state-of-the-art technologies and advancements.
