Banquet Barback

New York Hilton Midtown is looking for a Banquet Barback to join our team It's all about location in NYC and New York Hilton Midtown places you right in the heart of the action, within walking distance of a multitude of famous attractions, including Central Park, Radio City Music Hall, MOMA, and Broadway. Stop by the theater and transportation desk for tips, tickets, and travel in and around the city.

Shift Pattern: Full Availability is required for this position.

Pay Rate: $37.95 / hour

What will I be doing?

As a Banquet Barback, you would be responsible for helping the bartenders prepare and serve beverages for guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, supplying them with beverages, garnishes, condiments, glasses, and food, in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability.

Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Cleaning the bar as needed, which includes sweeping, mopping, and spill cleanup in the room, pantry area, and refrigerator.
Assist with the completion of beverage and general storeroom requisitions.
Pick up all liquor requisitions and transfers and deliver all requisitions to the appropriate places.
Keep all beverage, and dry good areas clean and organized.
Transfer products from bar to bar.
Clean and maintain portable bars.
Relieve other Bartender's Helpers or Bartenders when needed.
Cut fruits for garnishes.
Relieve Bartender for their meal breaks.
Greet guests in a courteous and friendly manner.
Ice, mix, garnish, and serve drinks, according to the standards set by Hilton.
Practice prudent portion controls, as set by Hilton, using a portion control pourer or jigger.
Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar.
Follow proper closing procedures, lock up and store beverages, promotional items, condiments, and other equipment items.
Follow and practice all standards set forth by Hilton in the employee manual.
Assist with monthly inventories.
Deliver non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages to waiter staff as required.
