Trusted Staffe Seeks Physical Therapist for Rehabilitation Facility in Chesapeake, VA


Trusted Staffe is partnering with a rehabilitation facility in Chesapeake, VA to find a qualified and passionate Physical Therapist (PT).

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled PT to make a positive impact on the lives of patients by helping them regain functional mobility and improve their overall well-being.


Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess patients' impairments, functional limitations, and rehabilitation potential.


Develop individualized treatment plans that address each patient's specific needs and goals, focusing on improving strength, range of motion, coordination, balance, and gait.

Utilize a variety of evidence-based physical therapy techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, modalities, and assistive devices.

Educate patients and their families on their conditions and treatment plans, promoting self-care strategies and safe exercise techniques.


Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care.

Document progress in patients' medical records and participate in treatment conferences.

Maintain a safe and patient-centered treatment environment.

Participate in quality improvement initiatives and stay up-to-date on current physical therapy practices.


Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.

Valid Physical Therapy License in the state of Virginia.

Minimum one (1) year of clinical experience in an outpatient rehabilitation setting (preferred).

Strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, and biomechanics.

Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.

Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Ability to document effectively in medical records.

Preferred

Qualifications:
Experience in treating patients with a variety of orthopedic, neurological, or musculoskeletal conditions.

Experience with manual therapy techniques.

Proficient in therapeutic exercise prescription and progressions.

Strong computer skills and proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
