Leukemia/BMT Physician

The Hematological Malignancies Oncology Program at MedStar Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center in Washington D.C., is growing rapidly and is seeking a Leukemia/BMT Physician to join the Leukemia Disease Group of Hematologic Malignancies and BMT. This position provides the ability to work with an outstanding group of nationally recognized experts in Lymphoma, Myeloma, and Bloodand Marrow Stem Cell Transplantation & Cellular Therapy in the only NCI designated cancer center in Washington, DC. Excellent research and academic opportunities are offered, including the ability to collaborate across its NCI consortium partner, Hackensack Meridian Health John Theurer Cancer Center (JTCC). As an example, Lombardi's studies in Leukemia and in BMT can be expanded across the consortium. Together Lombardi and JTCC are doing well over 500 BMT / cell therapy administrations per year and over 100 CART cells procedures, offering a huge platform for clinical and translational research in the field.
The successful candidate will work within both the Leukemia and BMT/Cellular Therapy disease groups and build a clinical and translational program in leukemia and BMT. The position of Leukemia and BMT physician offers:

Opportunity to work with nationally recognized hematologic malignancies and BMT teams . Opportunity for the candidate to define their own clinical and research niche in hematologist malignancies and BMT/cellular therapy. Access to a state-of-the-art NGS platform for routine care and research. Cell therapy dedicated team and Phase I support capabilities on site Strong infrastructure support in place (APNs, research RNs, clinical, administrative, and research support staff in hematologic malignancies). Excellent salary and relocation package.
Qualifications:
BC/BE Hematologist with interest in Leukemia/BMT Experience in clinical research in Leukemia and /or BMT.
