This job opportunity is for a Porter in the Multifamily sector. The Porter plays a crucial role in ensuring that vacant units are ready for occupancy and assists in maintaining the property's common areas, office spaces, and model units. Reporting to the Resident Manager and Property Manager, the Porter collaborates closely with the maintenance team.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES:
  • Cleans various areas of the property including the business office, restrooms, laundry rooms, model apartments, and common spaces on a regular schedule
  • Prepares vacant apartment units for showings and occupancy
  • Ensures the property's landscape and exterior areas are well-maintained by cleaning driveways, parking lots, curbs, dumpster areas, and hallways
  • Delivers excellent customer service by addressing resident concerns and maintenance needs in a courteous manner
  • Reports maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly
  • Assists with inventory management
  • Follows safety protocols while performing duties and reports any challenges encountered
  • Completes assigned tasks diligently
COMPETENCIES:
  • Proficient in using cleaning agents and equipment safely
  • Prior experience in cleaning multifamily residential or commercial buildings is advantageous
  • Capable of following instructions and managing projects efficiently
  • Ability to meet deadlines consistently
  • Strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures
IMPORTANT EDUCATION
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent technical training
IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE
  • Prior relevant work experience
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This role is based in a professional office setting and involves using standard office equipment. The job may require outdoor travel between properties in different weather conditions.PHYSICAL DEMANDS
  • Tasks may involve moving between floors, climbing stairs, and walking outdoors between buildings in varying weather conditions
  • Periods of stationary position while using office equipment
  • Physical ability to lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds
