Our Practice

Join our highly specialized, motivated team of OB hospitalists who are the hospital's first responders in obstetric and gynecologic emergencies.

Our team at Broward Health Medical Center is comprised of 10 OB hospitalists, 3 maternal-fetal medicine specialists and 10 midwives (two physicians and a midwife are in-house 24/7)More than 3,000 deliveries annually and an estimated 4,800 triage encountersThree on-site robots, allowing the opportunity to perform minimally invasive GYN procedures36 private mother/baby suites and three deluxe Empress suites, numerous labor and delivery rooms, operating rooms, in-house anesthesia and an on-site Level-III NICUA team of highly trained specialists available, including MFMs, neonatologists, midwives and full pediatric subspecialty supportPrimary responsibilities include both GYN and L&D ? delivery attendance, OB triage, patient evaluation and management, surgical assists, fetal monitoring and ER coverageStandard schedule of seven to eight (24-hour) hospitalist shifts each monthFlexible scheduling available, including hospitalist shifts, clinic shifts and GYN surgeryThe ideal candidate will have a Florida medical licenseCompetitive sign-on bonus available to full time candidatesFort Lauderdale Fast FactsWith a population of more than 180,000 residents, Fort Lauderdale is a lively city with a diverse, friendly communityNearly 25 miles of beautiful beaches make it a popular destination for tourists and residentsKnown as the ?Venice of America? for its numerous canals and waterways, Fort Lauderdale is a top destination for boating enthusiastsIts warm, tropical climate offers average temperatures ranging from the mid-70s during the winter and mid-80s in the summerMore than 80 parks and recreational facilities, such as Hugh Taylor Birch State Park and Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, offer numerous year-round activitiesHome to a vibrant cultural scene, with various museums, galleries and performing arts venues, including the Broward Center for the Performing ArtsFood fanatics will enjoy the wide range of restaurants, with everything from fresh seafood to international cuisineSports fans will enjoy several professional and college sports, including the Miami Dolphins, Miami Heat and Florida PanthersVarious shopping options from upscale boutiques to popular shopping malls, such as The Galleria at Fort LauderdaleHome to several highly rated schools and universities, such as Nova Southeastern University and Broward CollegeOur National Pediatrix OB Hospitalist Team
