Qualifications

  • Education: 2 Year/Associate Degree required, Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Experience: One year of ASC, PACU, or operating room experience preferred.
  • Licensure/Certification: Current RN licensure in appropriate state required, ACLS and PALS preferred.
  • Additional Skills (required): Comprehensive understanding of the RN role, ability to prioritize and organize unit workload, proficiency in modifying care based on patient age, skilled in interpreting patient needs based on age, adept in telephone screening and interviewing.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse plays a critical role in the healthcare team at Novant Health, establishing personalized relationships with patients and collaborating with the healthcare team to develop and implement customized care plans that enhance health or ensure peaceful transitions. Using the latest scientific evidence and compassion, the Registered Nurse guides patients through their healthcare journeys, taking responsibility for care management in line with current protocols.

If your RN license has been inactive, retired, or lapsed for five years or more without licensure in another state during this period, completing a Board-approved refresher course is necessary before reinstating your license within a year of course completion.
