Labcorp Biopharma Solutions is looking for a skilled cytogenetic technologist to join our team at the Indianapolis Central Laboratory Services (CLS) location. Our company is dedicated to supporting global clinical trials and providing critical health insights through advanced diagnostics and drug development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate on global trials involving FISH testing and support anatomic pathology and histology.
- Perform FISH processing, probing, and scoping; review and prepare microscopic cases for pathologist confirmation.
- Review and approve new test feasibility requests, assist with providing quotes, and evaluate method modifications for improvements.
- Develop and implement FISH scanning capabilities; integrate these into the digital pathology image management system and facilitate global team involvement in case reviews.
- Contribute to the development and approval of validation plans for new methods, instruments, and reagents; participate in process improvements.
- Participate in investigator meetings and client visits, involving occasional travel.
- Train junior personnel and contribute additional expertise in anatomic pathology and histology.
Education and Qualifications:
- Baccalaureate in a Biological Science with one year of experience.
- Qualification to conduct FISH testing and perform microscopic reviews is required.
- CG (ASCP) certification is desirable.
- Experience is desirable but not required.
- Ability to effectively interact with clients at meetings and conferences is valuable.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are valuable.
