Duties

This position is located in Golden Gate National Recreation Area, in the Natural Resources Management & Science Division.

MAJOR DUTIES:

  • Serves as expert on project teams in application of geographic information systems (GIS) to meet project goals.
  • Assists with development, design and management of GIS systems.
  • Provides technical support to a wide variety of skill/knowledge levels using systems similar to GIS and global positioning system (GPS).
  • Shares GIS type data in a variety of web service formats; develops and shares web mapping applications and data visualizations.
  • Analyzes geospatial data to find answers or gain geographic perspective for and on park management/operations/decision-making.
  • Develops reports and dashboards on analytical procedures and outcomes for presentations to audiences with a broad range of knowledge.
