Cafe Attendant

Job Overview:

The Café attendant is the key role in operating a Starbucks venue, Hershey's Ice Cream and retail store. The attendant will take care of residents in all aspects of the café with a smile.

This is a position for an individual who routinely exercises good judgment and exceptional problem-solving skills. As the face of the cafe experience, maintaining positivity and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment is critical while maintaining standards. Â

Your Responsibilities: Â Â Â Â Â Â Â

• Ensuring proper opening and closing procedures are followed.
• Addressing guest issues as needed, informing manager of opportunities
• Completing inventory with manager
• Submitting order to manager for all areas based on pars
• Preparing and serving hot and cold drinks such as coffee, tea, artisan and specialty beverages.
• Cleaning and sanitizing work areas, utensils, and equipment
• Cleaning service and seating areas
• Describing menu items and suggesting products to customers
• Servicing customers and taking orders
• Ordering, receiving and distributing stock supplies
• Receiving and processing customer payments
• Preparing ice cream orders
• Stocking retail store during shift as needed
• Helping guest with all aspects of the café including Starbucks, Hershey's Ice Cream and full retail component.
• Totals receipts at end of shift
• Perform various other duties as assigned

Skills & Qualifications:

• GED or High School Diploma
• Minimum of one (1) year in a similar role preferred.
• Team player.
• Ability to multi-task
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally.
• Ability to exceed expectations of guess and team members.
• Ability to operate available equipment such as cash registers, calculators, etc.
• Basic mathematical skills as needed to make change and give refunds.
• Ability to work flexible hours and shifts.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 30 – 50 lbs.
• Work in an upright standing or sitting position for long periods of time.
• Reach with hands and arms.
• Communicate, receive, and exchange ideas and information by means of the spoken and written word.

• Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm

Compensation: $18.00 Hourly
