The Role
Xos is seeking a dedicated Engineering Change Coordinator to facilitate effective change management processes within our vehicle and other Xos product manufacturing environment. In this role, you will focus on facilitating changes to build processes, systems, and technology to ensure smooth integration and improved production outcomes. As an Engineering Change Coordinator, you will support initiatives aimed at enhancing vehicle production efficiency, quality control, and overall operational effectiveness.
**This is an on-site position at our Byrdstown, TN Manufacturing facility**
Responsibilities
- Facilitate change management activities, ensuring adherence to established methodologies
- Assist in communication efforts related to change initiatives, including planning, development, and delivery of communication materials
- Assess the impact of changes, conduct impact analyses, and evaluate readiness for engineering change implementation
- Support training initiatives by documenting requirements and aiding in the design and delivery of training programs
- Conduct engineering change management assessments and developing risk mitigation strategies
- Support changes for designated project builds, working closely with cross-functional teams
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop implementation plans and monitor implementation progress
- Assist in defining and tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure change engineering change progress
- Additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- BS or BA in Project/Program Management, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Operations or related discipline
- 1+ years of experience in engineering change coordination or related experience
- Knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes, engineering, and manufacturing management a plus
- Excellent attention to detail with strong communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Proficiency in Google Suite and material management systems; previous ERP and Oracle/NetSuite experience preferred but not required
- Desirable experience in the following systems: 3Dx, Delmia, Jira, and MES
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Team player attitude with a passion for your responsibilities
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee must be comfortable lifting, pulling, pushing up to 25lbs.
Work Environment
This job operates in a plant environment as well as professional office environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of conditions at job sites and the noise levels in the work environment can vary from quiet to loud.
