Summary

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.


This National Guard position is for a SUPERVISORY FIREFIGHTER, Position Description Number NGT6307000 and is part of the 157 Air Refueling Wing at Pease Air National Guard Base.

Duties

The primary purpose of this position is: To serve as a Station Chief responsible for oversight and direction of the day-to-day operations of a fire station with two or more firefighting crews(including a Crew Chief and assigned crew) who drive and operate firefighting vehicles of significant complexity, fight airfield and structural fires, perform crash and rescue operations, and assist in reducing and/or eliminating potential fire hazards.

The incumbent will work a regular tour of duty of 72 hours per week consisting of 48 hours on and 48 hours off per shift.

Required to participate in a physical fitness program and pass an initial and annual physical. Incumbent is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week unless TDY or on leave.
