Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily inspections to oversee and ensure Contractor's compliance with contract documents, promptly reporting any deviations to the Chief Engineer.
- Foster open communication with all relevant stakeholders to address technical concerns and construction-related issues affecting operations.
- Participate in regular project meetings to stay informed and contribute to issue resolution, especially when unforeseen field conditions arise.
- Generate daily work reports summarizing daily activities, including Contractor's progress, materials, manpower, equipment usage, challenges faced, weather conditions, and hours worked.
- Capture digital photographs to document work progress, all properly date-stamped and described.
- Verify the startup of process systems and confirm their adequacy.
- Compile punchlists to ensure project completion and quality standards.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- 5+ years of experience in construction inspection or a related field.
- Familiarity with water/wastewater treatment plants and pumping station.
- Comprehensive knowledge of construction practices, contract documents, and relevant regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in documenting daily work activities, including digital photography and report preparation.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to address unforeseen field conditions.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to attend project meetings and adapt to a flexible work schedule.
- Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform on-site inspections in varying weather conditions.
