Job Description

As our company scales, we're seeking a Full Stack Engineer to join our dynamic team. This full-time role is tailor-made for someone with over 2 years of experience who is passionate about sustainability and thrives in an ever-evolving environment. Reporting to the Software Manager, you'll leverage a diverse array of technical skills and expertise, encompassing front-end and back-end programming languages, information security protocols, database design, and more. Key Responsibilities

Software Development

  • Lead full-stack software development, with a focus on back-end technologies.
  • Manage databases, optimize queries, and implement efficient storage solutions.
  • Integrate data analysis and machine learning models for robust data processing.
  • Translate customer challenges and feedback into user-centric web solutions.
  • Develop APIs for seamless integration of our data solutions into customer workflows.

Security

  • Ensure the security of customer data across all stages, from access to transmission.
  • Establish and enforce standards and security practices to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Foster a collaborative team environment, emphasizing mentorship and knowledge sharing.
  • Implement robust processes and workflows for software development, deployment, testing, and scaling.
  • Participate in or lead design reviews and system builds, with a focus on visualization and scalability.
  • Contribute to comprehensive documentation of workflows, codebases, and deployment procedures.

Desired Qualifications

  • Possess a startup founder mindset with a drive to effect positive change.
  • Proficiency in front-end technologies such as JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS, , and CSS Frameworks like Tailwind CSS.
  • Experience with full-stack web development, preferably in , or proficiency in server-side programming languages like Python, Java, Ruby, or PHP.
  • High proficiency in SQL and caching mechanisms like Redis, with expertise in optimizing queries and handling large volumes of time-series data.
  • Hands-on experience in building scalable cloud architecture and security solutions, preferably in AWS and Azure.
  • Ability to create comprehensive test suites covering both front-end and back-end components.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to meticulous documentation.
  • Knowledge of ML frameworks, data visualization, and analysis tools preferred.

Location

On-site at Greentown Labs in Somerville, MA, with one day of remote work per week.
